Sustainable action is an important element of our social responsibility and also the foundation of our success. It gives us a competitive advantage and incorporates economically, environmentally and socially relevant behaviour.

Due to the high consumption of energy and resources in the construction industry, the impact of these activities on society and the environment is intensive and wide-ranging. This challenge requires a global way of thinking that is  future-oriented. PORR and its subsidiaries are embracing this responsibility. . PORR is embracing this responsibility. The foundation for this approach is our “Green and Lean” holistic sustainability strategy, which rests on the following three pillars Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). Our main fields of action are derived from the materiality analysis and reflect these three dimensions of sustainability.

PORR is pursuing clear and ambitious sustainability goals and improving transparency step by step. This commitment has been honoured by the international sustainability agency ISS ESG which repeatedly awarded PORR C+ Prime status. ISS looks at more than 100 industry-specific criteria from the environmental (E), social (S) and governance (G) pillars before granting an ESG rating.
