BBGS dovetails science and practice as KOSMO partner of Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences

New offer of dual studies in Kaiserslautern

Training and promoting young talent - that is one of the goals BBGS is pursuing. The KOSMO (Koorperatives Studienmodell) partnership with Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences creates an ideal starting point for this. As a cooperation partner of the University of Kaiserslautern, BBGS has recently become part of the dual study model and thus a contact point for dual students in the field of civil engineering. As a dual student of civil engineering from the University of Kaiserslautern, Leon Vollmer has enriched the BBGS team since September 16.

As a KOSMO partner, BBGS provides the student with supplementary practical training in addition to the theoretical knowledge gained in lectures. With a permanent contact person assigned to the student, the student helps to shape everyday working life in the company and consolidates his theoretical knowledge through practical work on ongoing projects.

With the start of Leon Vollmer, dual student of the University of Kaiserslautern, at BBGS, the partnership is filled with life for the first time. After his apprenticeship as a carpenter, the young man decided to study civil engineering. Coming from a practical background, the new offer of a dual course of study at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences appealed to him directly. Leon Vollmer will complete his practical periods at BBGS during the lecture-free days and periods (= semester breaks). Since September 16, 2022, he has been reinforcing our team alternately both in the head office in Kaiserslautern and on the construction sites. There he can gain practical experience and test what he has just learned at university for practical suitability.

We are happy about the young addition and welcome Leon to the team!
