True to the motto "One Team, One Mission", BBGS is consolidating its cooperation with the US military by entering the Romanian market: The new unit BBGSRO Construction S.R.L. now offers U.S. government agencies in Romania comprehensive construction and real estate operation services. In this context, the BBGS team draws on the resources of PORR Romania as its "sister", which holds equal shares alongside BBGS in the new company. With the competences of both units, decisive synergies are utilized: PORR Romania has extensive experience in Romania with its local staff, and connections to suppliers, subcontractors and authorities. BBGS brings its valuable experience in US business and brings personnel with the special, necessary qualifications to the new business unit.
First order already placed within a framework agreement
The BBGS market entry in Romania has clear advantages: By bundling competencies in both the "domestic" market (PORR Romania) and the "US" market (BBGS Germany), the new BBGSRO Construction SRL offers itself as an efficient partner for the US government. In addition, the locations close to the customers in several countries enable a simplified handling of future individual projects within framework agreements valid throughout Europe. One order within a framework agreement already exists. The execution of the order is currently being prepared and will be carried out in Cincu, central Romania, in the summer. An additional benefit: New personnel in Romania can support projects in Belgium and Poland, thus receiving on-the-job training.
The headquarters of BBGSRO Construction S.R.L will be in Bucharest, at the same address as PORR Romania. The individual construction site offices will be created as required.
